Esteemed Social Impact Leader Esther Wang Joins Global Treehouse Board of Trustees
Global Treehouse is pleased to announce the appointment of Esther Wang to its Board of Trustees. Esther is an advisor to social impact leaders around the world, currently focused on winners of the Elevate Prize. As co-founder of IDinsight, Esther brings extensive expertise as a social entrepreneur and advisor to mission-driven organisations. Her addition to the leadership team comes at a crucial time, bolstering Global Treehouse’s capacity to identify and amplify innovative models of care for families facing life-limiting illness worldwide.
With a dynamic career spanning strategy and global development and social entrepreneurship, Esther has been a transformative figure in the non-profit sector. She co-founded IDinsight, a global research and analytics firm dedicated to bringing the best data to decisions in global development, where she served as Partner, COO, and interim co-CEO from 2012 to 2024. Her work has spanned borders, including leadership roles in Zambia and Kenya, as well as earlier initiatives to co-found a social enterprise on the Tibetan Plateau.
Esther’s approach is grounded in rigorous evidence and sound judgment. She has previously served as a partner at the Bridgespan Group and has advised non-profits and philanthropy on where investment can have the greatest impact. Her experience in building scalable systems will be a vital asset to the Global Treehouse team and to fellow trustees.

Her leadership will further enhance Global Treehouse’s ability to drive change and respond to the urgent global need for palliative care, leveraging her experience as a trusted nonprofit leader, including as an Echoing Green and a Harvard Center for Public Leadership fellow, and advisor to organizations such as The Agency Fund, One League, and StrongMinds.
