Philanthropy Specialist Myrta Canzonieri Joins Global Treehouse Board of Trustees
Global Treehouse is pleased to announce the appointment of Myrta Canzonieri to its Board of Trustees. As the Head of Fundraising at the Bologna, Italy-based Fondazione Isabella Seràgnoli, Myrta brings a sophisticated understanding of strategic philanthropy and operational development to Global Treehouse.
For over 12 years, she has overseen fundraising efforts at Fondazione Isabella Seràgnoli in supporting the Foundation’s mission to strengthen organizations and systems operating in the areas of healthcare, education and community well-being.
Before her current tenure, she served for nine years as the Head of Fundraising and Communication at CESVI, a prominent Italian humanitarian organization active in 30 nations. Her guidance there underpinned essential missions— ranging from emergency relief in regions affected by epidemics to long-term sustainable development initiatives — providing her with a broad view of how NGOs successfully navigate complex global demands in changing times.
Her professional philosophy centers on the power of enduring partnerships to generate sustained impact and secure diverse support, ranging from private philanthropy to major institutional donors. These competencies will be a significant asset to the Global Treehouse trustees and leadership team.
“I am honoured to join Global Treehouse and apply my experience and commitment to help ensure the highest-quality outcomes for children and families facing life-limiting illness everywhere.”
“We are privileged to have Myrta join us. Her expertise across philanthropic and nonprofit institutions, combined with her focus in palliative care, will be significant as Global Treehouse grows. We look forward to seeing her build on her commitment to compassionate care within our global governance.”
